One of the greatest privileges given to a human being is the privilege to ask divine help through prayer. "Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend" (SC p. 94).

"As the will of man co-operates with the will of God, it becomes omnipotent. Whatever is to be done at His command may be accomplished in His strength. All His biddings are enabling" (COL, p. 333).

We have the courage to ask our God because he says, "...call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me", Psalm 50:15.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

Outreach Ministries

Outreach Ministry is an integral part of the Oromo Seventh-day Adventist Church. The mission of our Outreach Ministry Department is to serve the community following the method of Jesus through ministries of compassion in His name (Luke 4:16-21). We have a group of individuals that dedicate their time to visiting the shut-ins, new immigrants, and those in special need of spiritual and resources. Also, the Outreach Ministry team participates in many other community activities in collaboration with the other church departments.
